Washington Water Utilities Council

Van Ness Feldman serves as legal counsel to the Washington Water Utilities Council (WWUC), a state association of approximately 200 water utilities.  The WWUC is a statewide coordinating and advocacy organization for water utilities, and the firm advises on water rights and water law issues and developments, state and federal regulatory matters, and legislation.  The firm’s attorneys represented the WWUC as an intervenor in litigation challenging the constitutionality of the 2003 Municipal Water Law, which was upheld in Lummi v. State, 241 P.3d 1220 (2010).
