King County Housing Authority

Van Ness Feldman represented the King County Housing Authority(KCHA) in the environmental review (NEPA/SEPA EIS) and entitlements process for transforming the existing public housing project, Greenbridge, into a new mixed use, mixed income community. This project was reviewed and approved by King County under a demonstration ordinance that encouraged modifications to development standards for innovative design and development techniques that resulted in quality urban design, fish-friendly storm water management, and environmental protection. With concurrence from the County, the firm drafted the majority of the demonstration ordinance standards. Van Ness Feldman continues to provide planning and permitting services to KCHA for implementation of the Greenbridge redevelopment and other residential development projects (e.g., Park Lake Homes II – HOPE VI redevelopment; Vantage Glen multifamily development).
