Native Affairs practice leader, Ed Gehres, is featured on SCOTUSblog.com this month providing analysis of the Dollar General Corporation v. Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians case, on which the Court heard oral argument on December 7.  The case centers on the issue of whether tribal courts may properly exercise civil jurisdiction over non-Indians for tort claims. The decision could shape the future role of Tribal Courts in adjudicating civil torts involving non-Indians.
