On behalf of the Geothermal Energy Association, Van Ness Feldman was instrumental in obtaining eligibility for geothermal projects under the energy investment tax credit.  Subsequently, we represented the Geothermal Energy Association in their successful effort to become eligible for a production tax credit under Section 45 of the Internal Revenue Code in the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004. In the following Congress, we successfully increased the life of the tax credit for geothermal power to ten years under the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
