National Association of Women Lawyers, Beveridge & Diamond, & Van Ness Feldman

Beveridge & Diamond, 1350 I Street, NW Washington, DC

Van Ness FeldmanBeveridge & Diamond, and NAWL's Environmental & Energy Practice Area Affinity Group cordially invite you to a breakfast program: Environmental Review and Permitting Reform for Infrastructure Projects.   The program is being coordinated by a group including Andrea Hudson Campbell, partner in our environment practice, and panelists will include Gwen Keyes Fleming,  also partner in our environmental practice.   An overview of the program is below:

Republican and Democrat administrations alike have prioritized improving the environmental review and permitting process, principally through executive and administrative actions. The Trump Administration has continued with this trend, but in a more forceful manner, arguing that delays and other inefficiencies in the environmental review and permitting process are severely impeding critically important projects to rebuild and modernize our nation’s infrastructure.

This program will explore recent environmental review and permitting reform proposals for infrastructure projects, including the Executive Orders, the recently signed federal Memorandum of Understanding on expediting environmental reviews, implementation of FAST-41, and other initiatives regarding environmental reviews and permitting.  Speakers will explain why review and permitting reform proposals are such a hot topic and what various reforms propose.  Case studies will be used to fully explore the issues involved.

The event is complimentary, but space is limited. Please click here to register.
