Van Ness Feldman represents the Port of Walla Walla in a variety of water resources, land use, real estate, and environmental issues related to the use and development of its industrial and commercial properties throughout Walla Walla County, including water rights, water supply agreements, and water system creation and regulation. The firm has represented the Port in vetting and acquiring several irrigation water rights, changing terms of use through agency processes, developing strategies to protect water rights from loss or relinquishment, leasing some rights to the state Office of Columbia River, and positioning water rights to serve future businesses and industrial parks. We have also negotiated and drafted various water agreements with prospective business tenants and other public water systems.
