Offshore Wind Facility

Van Ness Feldman assists the developer of an offshore wind facility with federal energy and environmental regulatory issues relating to the development of a 30 MW pilot project and other proposed utility-scale offshore wind facilities off the coast of the northeastern United States.  The firm has provided counsel and strategic advice on transmission solutions and interconnection service issues, ISO/RTO transmission participation and planning processes, and power purchase agreement negotiations.  In addition, the firm provides advice on regulatory matters relating to the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Historic Preservation Act, among other statutes.
