Grant began his policy career in the U.S. Senate working for Senate Democratic Leader Charles E. Schumer of New York, where he led the Senator’s appropriations and grants work. Following his time in the Senate, Grant was the lead appropriations, energy, and natural resources policy advisor to Congressman Ron Barber (D-AZ) and Legislative Director to Congresswoman Norma Torres (D-CA), where he managed the Congresswoman’s work on the House Natural Resources Committee.
