Van Ness Feldman LLP is pleased to announce that Patrick Daugherty and R. Scott Nuzum have been named Of Counsel to the firm. Both Mr. Daugherty and Mr. Nuzum will continue to work with the firm’s Pipeline, Oil & Gas Development and Compliance teams in their new roles.

Mr. Daugherty works with clients in all phases of civil and administrative litigation and has counseled companies facing inquiries from a variety of government agencies, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) Office of Enforcement and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Patrick also previously served as a prosecutor in the White Collar Fraud unit of the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office, and his litigation experience will continue to be a cornerstone of his practice. Mr. Nuzum draws from time spent in both policy and legal positions at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and the U.S. Department of the Interior to provide strategic counsel to oil and gas companies on project leasing, siting and development, on safety and environmental management systems (SEMS) compliance, and on financial assurance and decommissioning activities.
