Van Ness Feldman Welcomes Lucas Agnew as Policy Counsel

Van Ness Feldman LLP is pleased to announce that Lucas Agnew, former Professional Staff Member and Subcommittee Staff Director, U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, has joined the firm as Policy Counsel. Mr. Agnew brings nearly ten years of public sector experience to the firm, having worked in various positions in Congress, including most recently, as Professional Staff on the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Subcommittee where he worked closely with Ranking Member, Sen. Murkowski (R-AK) to advance policy and execute a wide-range of energy, environmental, and federal funding matters.

During his time in Congress, Mr. Agnew gained significant expertise in planning, drafting, executing, and overseeing successful policy initiatives and outcomes, and in advising Senate offices, senior Administration officials, and outside stakeholders on how to achieve legislative and administrative solutions, including in numerous appropriations acts and elements of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Mr. Agnew will utilize these experiences in Congress to provide clients with policy guidance and strategic advice on energy, natural resources, climate, and federal funding policy issues.
